WHSmith supporting charity partners towards bushfire relief
As we continue to see communities ravaged by bushfires and the tireless bravery of first responders. on Thursday 9th of January, WHSmith Australia donated all the profits from trade across all of our formats to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery fund. Many other retailers followed suit on the day, coming together to help those communities in which we both live and serve.
Ongoing, WHSmith has collection boxes for The Salvation Army in our Melbourne airport stores supporting an airport wide initiative, and in the remainder of all our corporate stores we have collection boxes for the Red Cross, so that both customers and staff have the opportunity to continue to support communities in need.
Gestures of generosity by our customers and staff will go a long way in helping those who have lost everything and to those who are on the front-line fighting fires day in and day out.
If you feel you want to donate, there are many great organisations running relief efforts.
