WHSmith Australia is proud to announce their support as a partner for Sydney WorldPride 2023, celebrated this year from 17th February to 5th March 2023.
WorldPride promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer issues on an international level through events, parades, festivals, and other cultural activities. This year’s celebrations coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first Australian Gay Pride Week, the 45th anniversary of the first Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, and 5 years since the legalisation of same‐sex marriage in Australia.
As a supporting partner, WHSmith has worked collaboratively with Sydney WorldPride to build and bring activations to life, aligning with the peak travel period to Sydney for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Across Australia, WHSmith airport stores will serve as welcoming rest stops for travellers, featuring prominent creative supporting the Sydney WorldPride event and offering inclusive and celebratory products for customers.

Working closely with supplier partners, including Coke, Mondeleze, Red Bull, Mars, and Byron Bay Cookies, WHSmith have created dedicated Sydney WorldPride spaces across their stores, featuring special offers and giveaways to customers travelling to and from WorldPride. Leading in convenience and supporting the celebrations, customers will be able to pick up Pride-themed Oreos, Byron Bay Cookies and Skittles across WHSmith stores in key airport locations. Travellers passing through WHSmith at Sydney Airport Arrivals will also be able to get their hands on free limited edition ‘Love’ Coke cans!
